Science in focus.The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) is Switzerland’s central contact point for all matters related to education, research, and innovation policy. With around 280 employees in Switzerland and 60 abroad, SERI supports important projects with an annual budget of CHF 4.8 billion.To visually portray the broad spectrum of topics and the diversity of supported projects, we took a unique approach: we traveled across Switzerland and produced custom photo series at six selected institutions. From Bellinzona (IRB) to Martigny (IDIAP), Villigen (Paul Scherrer Institute), Zizers (DHP), Romont (Vitocentre), and Dietikon (Oxara) – our images capture the fascinating world of science in all its dimensions and reflect the multilingual spirit of Switzerland.
